Photography has taught me that ordinary moments can be extraordinary. I am drawn to people who notice them too.

My camera usually stays in my bag when the company is good. I love the movement of a city, the sudden quiet of a gallery, and the way a familiar street changes in different light. Contemporary dance is another fascination; perhaps I simply enjoy things that cannot be entirely explained.

I have an unreasonable fondness for contact sheets: all those almost-moments beside the photograph that was chosen. People are rather more interesting that way too. Bring your enthusiasm, your unfinished stories and a willingness to look at things from another angle.
