I read slowly and revisit favourite books often. The same instinct shapes the way I explore a city: returning to a peaceful corner can be as rewarding as finding somewhere new. Zurich gives me room for both, from its quiet waterside paths to small exhibitions tucked away from the centre.

You will not find me racing through a reading list or a conversation. I prefer to leave a little space around things. If there is a book you have wanted to talk about for years, I would be delighted to hear why it stayed with you.
